Imitation of Life is a Humanistic AI studio in Barcelona. We build AI products under one filter — they must measurably improve lives — and we lend that discipline to the teams we join. The studio is deliberately small: a circle of senior product, design, engineering, and research people, assembled around each engagement.
Marcos started Imitation of Life after twenty-three years of building AI and technology companies, beginning in 2003. That time taught him a simple thing: the products that last are the ones that leave people better off.
Imitation of Life is that lesson, made into a studio. The name is a promise read backwards — the point of imitating life is to serve it.
Around the founder, a close circle of senior collaborators — product people, designers, engineers, researchers — joins each engagement as the work requires. Small teams, senior hands, no benches.
The fastest way to find out if we should work together is thirty minutes of conversation.
